for ERA’s Community Ecosystem Restoration Project (CERP). Joseph has worked with ERA since 2006 to help develop and standardize the carbon benefit generated by their projects. He is the lead author of ERA’s ISO14064-2 greenhouse gas quantification methodology. ERA Ecosystem Restoration Associates Inc. (ERA) has developed the Community Ecosystem Restoration Program (CERP), which provides a range of climate mitigation, environmental, and social benefits to B.C. communities. This project restores degraded community forest ecosystems in permanently protected lands in the British Columbia, Canada, and in so doing; remove vast tonnages of CO2 from the atmosphere. In this manner, historical, productive, native forest ecosystems will be established, providing GHG removals and co-benefits to current and future generations. |

Carbon Project Solutions is working with Vancouver’s Globe Foundation to design and build the Globe Carbon Registry. Bringing expertise in compliance and voluntary carbon markets, CPS is responsible for the registry architecture, design strategy, assessment processes and cross-registry linkages. We expect the Registry to go live in Summer 2008. The voluntary carbon market displays a clear need for strong, transparent registries. The Globe Carbon Registry has been created to showcase and track carbon offsets from all sectors that have been third-party validated and verified. Offsets may conform to internationally recognized standards, or be written to their own custom standard that will be transparently displayed on the registry site. The Globe Carbon Registry continues the building of trust in the voluntary carbon market through transparent showcasing of project design, ensuring standardization and tracking offset chain of custody. |
